For BCIT News, I worked to shoot, write, and produce several television news stories and video projects. Video live hits for live streamed newscasts were also delivered when required to further information or updates on a story. An example can be found in the Audio section of my portfolio.

In partnership with the school’s Television and Video Production program, I worked with a colleague from this program to create a short documentary with a ‘Halloween’ theme for a live show in October 2022.

I was also one of the hosts for this live show, which aired on BCIT Television and Video Production’s Facebook page on October 20th, 2022. This role involved me reading throws to our stories live to direct the show between segments, both recorded and live, including an interview. The show can be found here.

I have co-produced an episode of BCIT Magazine with one of my journalism program colleagues. For a two-week rotation, we coordinated with students to confirm their progress in developing, filming, scripting, and editing their stories. We also created our own content for the show, including a community calendar segment and a short-form interview with a local charitable organization. Finally, we filmed and produced anchor segments for the show with the help of fellow students, giving our show the traditional format of a television news show.
